Silicone resins and silicone rubbers are known for their excellent high-temperature stability (typically withstanding -60°C to 250°C or even higher temperatures), UV resistance, and weather resistance. Silicone resins:
Used to encapsulate solar cells, forming a light-transmitting protective layer. Their high light transmittance and anti-yellowing properties maintain module efficiency over the long term. High-temperature curing silicone resins (such as addition-cure types) can withstand the thermal cycling (e.g., diurnal temperature variation) experienced by photovoltaic panels during operation.
